At the Valentine Home, we are committed to providing quality care in the best facilities possible for our kids. That’s why our next building endeavor is focused on increasing the quality of our living quarters for all of our children. We are currently in the process of building two identical dorm facilities. One for teenage boys and the other for teenage girls. Each dorm will have seven bedrooms; five for children and two for house mothers. Each dorm will also have a gathering room for activities, that can be closed or open depending on the weather. These two dorms will be connected by a covered terrace which will provide space for study and leisure. This new space will accommodate 60-72 children. This project has been a long time coming, due to delays in covid, our first attempt was halted. We are years overdue for this facility, having just been able to break ground and begin. Our kids are overflowing in their current dorm space, and we are passionate about giving our older kids the space to grow and thrive. The existing space will be repurposed for the younger aged children only. When renovated it will have a capacity for 20-24 of our youngest children. With our current number of 38 children in total, this expansion will give us plenty of room to grow and allow space for unexpected placements. Our goal for this capital campaign is to raise 500,000 USD to give our kids the room they deserve to grow and thrive. We invite you to partner with us as we continue to build our facilities into a home.
